This is how I wired the lights in the magazine. The battery is a disassembled balloon light LED with three 1.5v batteries in it, totaling 4.5v with a resistor running to the LEDs. All of the LEDs are wired in parallel and interrupted by a switch. I think I ended up with a 200 ohm resistor.
